Winona Eurene Nichols Balser

Balser, Winona Eurene - Age 91 of Digby, passed away July 14, 2014 in Tideview Terrace. She was a daughter of the late Horace and Cecile (Sabean) Nichols. She was a member of United Baptist Church and adherent of South Range Christian Church for the past ten years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and was an avid communicator. Winona loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Laura (Howard) Prime, Berwick; Hazel Kelly, Cape Breton; Jean (Emanuel) Lawrence, Halifax; Ruth (Gary) Sabean, South Range; sons, Charles Balser, Cape Breton; Willard (Debbie)Balser, Digby; Oscar (Eleanor) Balser, Bear River; sister, Janice Trimper, Ontario; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alisha, Phillip, Wendy, David, Jonathan, Frederick, Martin, Jennifer, Stephen, Karen, Darrell; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Winona was predeceased by husband, David Dixon Balser, grandson, Davis Dixon Balser; sister, Lida Prime; brothers, George and Arthur Nichols. Visitation 2-4pm and 7-9pm Saturday July 19th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby (245-2525). Funeral service at 3pm on Sunday, July 20th from South Range Christian Church. Pastor Mark Elley presiding. Interment in Rossway Community Cemetery.
