Benny Wayne Knowles

Benny Wayne Knowles, age 83, of Dinuba, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born in Tulare County, California on March 29, 1941, Benny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Tulare County, Benny graduated from Orosi High School. Benny served his country proudly in the United States Army before embarking on a successful career as a lineman with AT&T, where he worked for over 30 years. His work ethic and dedication were matched only by his devotion to family and friends.

A passionate traveler, Benny enjoyed exploring the world with his beloved wife, Edith. Together, they embarked on many unforgettable cruises, visiting far-flung destinations such as China, Russia, Italy, and the Amazon. Benny also loved the outdoors, spending his free time playing tennis and hunting.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. Benny was a man of integrity and kindness, always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a listening ear. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, and he will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

Benny is survived by his wife, Edith Knowles; daughter, Jennifer Elliott and her husband, Jon; grandson, Jordan Elliott; brother, Bill Knowles and his wife, Donna; Edith’s daughter, Jeanne Albert and her grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Hutchens; three great-grandchildren; and a large extended family of friends and loved ones.

Benny’s family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of love and generosity will endure. He was truly a good man—a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend—and his memory will be forever treasured.
