It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Edward Martinez, 66, of Orosi, California, who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Edward was born on July 22, 1959, in Tulare, California, to the late Candido and Laurencia Martinez. A proud American, Edward answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the Army National Guard in 1976, where he demonstrated steadfast dedication, discipline, and honor—values he carried throughout his life.
In 1975, Edward met the love of his life, Adela. The two were married in 1979, beginning a journey of deep love and devotion that spanned more than four decades. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising their children: Jimmy, Eduardo Jr., Fernie, and Connie. His family was his pride and joy.
Professionally, Edward was a hardworking and respected man. He spent over 10 years as a truck driver and dedicated more than 20 years to Waste Management, where he was known for his integrity, reliability, and unwavering work ethic. A true truck enthusiast, Edward found joy and fulfillment in working on his cars and trucks—his garage was often filled with the sound of engines and laughter.
Edward’s greatest treasures in life were his family and his role as a grandfather. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren: Fernie Jr., Adrian, Dominic, Vincent, Daniel, Martin, Alyssa, Cassandra, Eduardo and Jacob, who brought light and joy to his days. His legacy lives on through them. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Domingo, Daniel, Candido Jr., Micaela, Rosa, and Bertha, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss his generous spirit and warm heart.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished siblings: Jacinto, Fernando, Ramón, Telésforo, Paula, Pancho, Ernestadora, and Agapito.
At home, Edward was known for his kindness, quiet strength, and deep love for his family—including his loyal fur babies, Precious, Chewy, Covid, and Sky, who adored him and rarely left his side.
A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, proud veteran, and loyal friend, Edward leaves behind a legacy of patriotism, perseverance, and unconditional love. He will be remembered for his selfless heart, his commitment to his country and family, and the enduring impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed and forever honored by those who loved him most.
