Esther Mendez (Calderon)

Esther dedicated 40 years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), serving those in need with compassion and care. She had a heart full of love for others and treated everyone she met as family. Her strong faith in God was central to her life, and she found peace and joy in attending church regularly. Her favorite Bible verse, Psalm 23, reflected her spirit of devotion and kindness.

She is survived by her beloved children, Abel Quintana III and his wife Jennette, Analicia Balandran, and Maricela “China” Hernandez; her cherished grandchildren, Abel Quintana IV, Lucas Quintana, Riri Quintana, Angela Quintana, Adam Balandran, Ian Zavala, Genesis Zavala, Aliyah Santamaria, Anthony Lopez, and Alex Bermudez. She also leaves behind her siblings, Sara Romero and David Mendez, the Calderon family, numerous nephews, nieces, and many other dear family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Monica Mendez, her sister Rebecca Mendez, and her son, Abel “Little Man” Calderon.

Esther had a deep love for the color purple, and her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, located at 189 South J Street, Dinuba, CA 93618.
