Born in Mexico, Margarita was a agricultural laborer for 40 years. She is survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Gutierrez; her niece, Marisol Tamayo; two great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the church. Burial will follow at Smith Mountain Cemetery/
