She was born October 20th, 1956 in Dinuba, CA to parents Keith and Virginia Tobin. She grew up in the local foothills and, because of her love of the mountains and community, she resided in Auberry most of her life.
She graduated from Fresno City College at an early age with a degree in Nutrition. Her career included many years as a Dietary Manager at Wish-I-Ah and Beverly long term care facilities. She also enjoyed time as a kitchen manager at Big Creek Elementary between lengthy careers at the care facilities.
During her final years, she could be found enjoying the simpler things in life. She loved boat rides on the lake and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She never missed a chance to spoil her grandchildren or to text a “Good Morning” or “Good Night” to her loved ones.
Nancy is survived by her brothers Walter Tobin and Keith Lynn Tobin, sisters Debra Barnhart and Brenda Spence, sons Josh Wallace and Toby Gelenaw, daughters Lindsey Flanigan and Laurie Vulich and the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren: Ronald Wallace, Isabella Flanigan, Gabriella Flanigan and Elizabeth Vulich. Nancy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Keith and Virginia Tobin and her twin brothers David Larry Tobin and Thomas Jerry Tobin.
Her legacy will live on as she selflessly chose to donate her organs. Although her death was a tragedy, she was able to give the ultimate gift of life to those in need.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at 10:00am at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Road 100, Dinuba, CA 93618. A memorial dinner will be held at a later time to give her children an opportunity to grieve.
