

She was a resident of Palm Beach Gardens where she and her late husband Kenneth Endick Z’l retired in 2005.
Dr. Starr was for decades a oncologist and hematologist associated with Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey where she had her medical practice. Dr. Starr was a beloved cancer specialist whose name graces the Warren Hospital Cynthia D. Starr M.D. Breast Care Center. She was on the teaching faculty at University of Pennsylvania and donated her time and energy to a number of clinics serving low income people for which she received numerous awards and commendations. She was also a generous philanthropist giving to Jewish and social justice causes.
She was the first-born child of Dr. Benjamin Starr, MD and Evelyn Starr of Jersey City, NJ. She attended high school at Stevens Institute of Technology, and graduated from New York University with her Bachelor of Science before earning her MD at what is now Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago. She did her internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and her residency at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York.
Dr. Starr was also an avid reader, classical music aficionado, long time bridge player, talented pianist and visual artist. She enjoyed many lifelong friendships and was dearly loved by all her friends and extended family.
She is survived by her sisters, Adrienne Sires of West New York NJ (Albio) and Lori Starr of Sonoma, California (Rick Oginz); Nephews Ben Oginz (Casie Ann Brown) and Max Oginz. Niece Tara Kole (Michael Dorr), and grand nephew Henry Dorr; Stepchildren Carrie Feig (Jonathan) and Aly Harris (Chris) and step-grandchildren Meaghan, Jack, and Padraig Harris and Mira, Joshua, and Jacob Feig; Brother in-law Marshal Endick ( Joyce) and sister in-law Rhea Gringhaus (Roy)
