Hollis, John Richard - 65, of Copiague, NY passed away on June 17, 2012. Beloved son to Zelda and the late Joe Hollis, loving father to Richard and Jennifer, cherished grandfather to Cassandra, adored brother to Lydia, and loved uncle to Lindsay and Matt. John also leaves behind many other family members and friends. John proudly served his country for 26 years as a Naval Commander for the United States Navy. May his memory be for a blessing. Services will be held at IJ Morris Dix Hills, on Tuesday June 19, 2012 commencing at 1:00pm, with interment to immediately follow at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. Shiva will be observed at 47 Whittier Avenue. North Babylon, NY 11703; Tuesday following the service, and Wednesday after 2:00pm.
