     I was deeply saddened when I learned of Richard's passing.  Unfortunately, we have been out of
contact for the last few years, but Richard was very much apart of my growing up.  There were a 
number of Cook cousins, and when the family circle got together--as it did often--my brother Marty
and I would look forward to being with them and spending time together.  I always found Richard 
engaging with a wicked sense of humor.  As we reached maturity and had families of our own, I know
how proud he was of his children and grandchildren.    
     I know this is a difficult time for all of you, but you are very much in my thoughts.  I hope the coming
year will bring healing, and I hope you'll be comforted by many rich and sweet memories.
