Roberta Faith Goin

Roberta graduated from Amityville High School in 1970 and earned her Associates degree from Nassau Community College and her Bachelors from SUNY Old Westbury. She worked at the Sheriff's Office in Yaphank, Office of the Aging in Hauppauge, and SUNY Farmingdale. She trained as a dental technician and volunteered with Literary Volunteers of America. She served as a delegate for the Civil Service Employee Association through Farmingdale and the Suffolk County Association of Municipal Employees for many years.

Roberta loved going dancing, getting together with friends, playing Rummikub, and volunteering at Patchogue Theater. She also enjoyed walking and attending library events. In her recent years, she developed a love for attending Chinese Auctions.

Roberta was predeceased by her husband, Robinson (Rob) Goin and her parents, Joseph and Helen Cooper. She is survived by her sisters, Adele Flicker and Joyce Ravit, nieces, Sharon Flicker, Jaimie Ravit, and Allison Ravit, and nephew, Steven Flicker. Roberta was an ardent animal lover and dearly remembered her pets Chriskah, Viva, and Jasmine.

The funeral service will be held at 11AM, Monday, January 30, 2017 at IJ Morris Funeral Home in Dix Hills. She will be laid to rest at Old Montefiore Cemetery on Springfield Blvd. in Queens.
