January 23, 1952 – March 3, 2026
Ronald, “Ron” to some and “Ronnie” to many, Greenblatt passed away on March 3, 2026, surrounded by the deep love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, devotion, and unwavering dedication. Born on January 23, 1952, to his loving parents, Robbie and Sarah Greenblatt, Ron grew into a man whose steady presence anchored everyone around him.
Ron shared nearly 53 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Francine Greenblatt. Their love story began as teenagers—Fran was 14 and Ronnie was 15—a young romance that grew into a lifelong partnership filled with loyalty, laughter, and profound devotion. Together they built a family that was the center of his world.
He was a proud and devoted father to his sons, Lenny and Evan, and he warmly embraced his daughters-in-law, Shira and Danielle, as his own. His greatest joy was being Grandpa to Noah, Ariel, Bryce, and Max. Nothing made him prouder than watching his grandchildren grow, and his love for them was constant and unconditional.
Ron dedicated 30 years of service as an electrician with the Long Island Rail Road, where he was known as hardworking, dependable, and skilled. He took immense pride in providing for his family and ensuring they were always cared for. After retirement, he and Fran enjoyed their time in Florida, embracing sunshine, relaxation, and well-earned peace.
Though a man of few words, Ron had a powerful presence. He was steady, protective, and deeply loyal. He loved his family fiercely and showed it not through grand gestures, but through everyday acts of care and responsibility.
He had a passion for the New York Yankees and rooted for them with unmatched enthusiasm. He loved listening to The Beatles, whose music often served as the soundtrack to family memories. Ron also adored his dog, Hershey, who brought him comfort and companionship. In retirement, he enjoyed many cruises and truly indulged in the good life he had worked so hard to build.
Ron is also survived by his brothers, Ernie and Phil, and by many close friends who cherished his loyalty and quiet humor.
His legacy lives on in the family he protected, the values he instilled, and the countless memories shared around dinner tables, at celebrations, on vacations, and in the simple, everyday moments that mattered most.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
