James Birman Sr., age 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Edith (Hader) Birman and sister, Catherine VanWinkle. He is survived by his children Becky Birman of Washington and James (Shannon) Birman Jr.; grandchildren Amelia, Hayden, Olivia, and Aliza; sister, Mary Hitzler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army. He work as a clerk for the Grand Rapids Post Office. James loved to race at many of the local dirt tracks.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the funeral home with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
