
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 on Friday.
Mrs. Barrentine was born September 17, 1920 in Pike County, Alabama to Austin L. and Callie Hartzog. She lived in Dothan most all of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Barrentine was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her step-mother, Mary Hartzog, the father of her children, Frank Barrentine; 4 sisters, Mary L. Shiver, Annie Alexander, Grace Hartzog and Mary Nell Lolley; 4 brothers, Jack Hartzog, Doc Hartzog, Henry Hartzog and Ralph Hartzog; a grandson, Kevin Barrentine and a son-in-law, Jack Parker.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Wayne Barrentine of Ozark, Louie Frank (Molly) Barrentine of Wetumpka; two daughters, Eva Ann McCord (Jimmy) of Dothan, Elizabeth Parker of Ozark; seven grandchildren, Kenneth (Terri) Barrentine of Livermore, CA, Kurt (Tracie) Barrentine of Mossey Head, Karla Barrentine and Karen Barrentine, both of Tucson, AZ, Jackie Parker of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Eric (Dianne) McCord of Madrid and Devin Cochran of Dothan; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
