Mrs. Flora A Hughes Wells

Flora Agnes Wells, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Courtyard at the Mill Pond in Marianna, Florida. She was a much loved, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She will be missed by all. She was 90.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murray Kelley officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to service time. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartford, Alabama.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 4440 Lafayette St. Marianna, FL 32446

Mrs. Wells lived in Hartford, Alabama for a number of years. She moved to Ashford, where her husband Skilmon L. Wells was employed with Wiregrass Electric, after his death she moved to Dothan. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God Church and a member of the Dothan First Assembly of God Church. She worked for a number of years at the Louise Shop in Dothan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Skilmon L. Wells, her parents Eddie Arthur and Eva Hughes, two sisters Opal Seay and Martha Miller Sheffield.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Ball (Ted) of Dothan, AL, one son Bill Wells, Sr. (Rebecca) of Byron, GA. Four grandchildren, Deborah Buwalda (Don) of Lake City, FL , Timothy Ball of Lake City, FL, Billy Wells (Amy) of Macon, GA, Jeffery Wells of Orlando, FL. Five great-grandchildren, Megan Ball, Cameron Ball, Trey Ball of Lake City, FL, Levi Buwalda of Lake City, FL, and Katie Beth Wells of Macon, GA. Two sisters also survived her, Merrel Scurlock and Nell Scurlock of Cottondale, FL.
