Francis Edward Kahn

Memorial services with military honors will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jody Haddan officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial services on Friday. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Catholic Social Services, 557 W. Main St., Dothan, AL 36301.

Mr. Kahn was born August 22, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to Elmer and Elizabeth Kahn and lived the early years of his life there. He later entered the U.S. Army and served for 24 years prior to his retirement in 1991 as SGM. After retirement, he was employed with The Haven (Spectracare) for ten years. Mr. Kahn was a man with great humor who could see the funny side to anything. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kahn of Dothan; two children, Barbara Kahn Olson and Edward Kahn, both of Denver, CO; two grandchildren and a brother, James H. Kahn, all of Denver, CO.
