John Arnett

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service Monday morning.

Mr. Arnett was born October 22, 1940 in Alexander City, AL. He was a graduate of Dothan High School and attended Sanford University. He moved to Dothan 5 years ago after living most of his life in Vestavia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Loyce Whiddon Arnett of Vestavia; and grandparents, L.T. and Jennie Lee Arnett of Midland City; and Sonny and Ollie Whiddon of Newville.

Survivors include his brother, Glen Arnett of Dothan, and several aunts and uncles including Mary Whitaker of Dothan.
