

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Glenn and Reverend Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Memphis Baptist Church “Building Fund,” 4595 Eddins Rd., Dothan, AL, 36301.
Mr. McNeal was born February 14, 1913 in Henry County, Alabama and lived most of his life in the Dothan area. He was a faithful member of Memphis Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years, a member of the Rescue Sunday School Class and the Joyful Christians.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Willie Butler of Grand Ridge, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Joyce McNeal, of Dothan; three brothers, Carlton McNeal, Tifton McNeal (Yvonne) and James McNeal, all of Dothan; one sister, Louise McNeal Ellison (John) of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters-in-law, Bobbie McNeal of Cottonwood and Lucille McNeal of Baker; five grandchildren, Sandy Yelverton (John) of Oak Wood, GA, Amy Lindsay of Panama City, FL, Keith McNeal of Donalsonville, GA, Brian McNeal of Dothan and Chris Miller (Richard) of Dothan; ten great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
