Mrs. Ruby Nell Eubanks Adams

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at Ashford United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Albritton officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to service time on Friday.

Mrs. Adams was born March 29, 1921 in Pansey, AL, where she lived the early years of her life, the seventh of nine children. After her marriage, she moved to Ashford where she lived the remainder of her life. She volunteered as a foster grandparent at Ashford Elementary School. Mrs. Adams was a member of Ashford United Methodist Church.

She is predeceased by her husband, Euell Cecil Adams who died in 1977; her parents, Elmer and Exer Brown Eubanks; six brothers, Ennis Eubanks, Lesley Eubanks, Ralph Eubanks, Woodrow Eubanks, Cecil Eubanks and Bruton Eubanks and a sister, Myrtle Eubanks.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Adams (Ann) of Montgomery and their children, Reid Adams, Lacy Adams, Wilson Adams, Coleman Adams and Zac Spears; a daughter and son-in-law, Gerie Kelley (Robert) of Columbiana, AL and their son, Clay Kelley; a brother, Horace E. Eubanks of Alexandria, VA; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members also survive.
