Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Lewis, age 74, of Winston, GA passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was born September 19, 1940 in Omega, GA. Mrs. Lewis loved to be at the lake and enjoyed fishing. She was a crafter, especially crocheting and was a great cheerleader for dog agility. Alice was a devoted Christian and was a member of Prays Mill Baptist Church. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Lewis is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lee Lewis; parents Augustus Franklin and Eunice Sheffield; brother Franklin Sheffield as well as sisters Martha Barnes and Wylene Medwin.
She is survived by her son Henry Don and wife Lynn Mitchell; daughters Melissa and husband Brian Cofer as well as Kathy and husband Aaron Padgett; brother William and wife Shirley Sheffield; sister Dorothy Blankenship; grandchildren Maggie, Abigail and Lilly Padgett as well as nieces, nephews and many other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Rosehaven Chapel on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Prays Mill Baptist Church.
