Charlene Daniell departed this world for her beautiful next home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Grounded in her faith, Charlene was kind, wise, quick-witted, and unfailingly loving to those around her. She embraced life fully and treasured the many people blessed to be part of it.
Born in Rome, Georgia, on September 5, 1942, to Charles Alden White and Nancy Josephine Wells White, Charlene was raised in Austell.
She graduated from South Cobb High School and attended Georgia State University, where she majored in Music. She went on to share her gift as a pianist and musical leader in her church and as a beloved piano teacher for decades, continuing to teach until 2023. Charlene also loved to sing—a passion that began in childhood chorus and stayed with her throughout her life. It was not uncommon for her to burst into song at any moment, bringing joy to those around her.
Charlene cherished her many lifelong friendships and never missed an opportunity to gather for lunches, dinners, and celebrations. Among her most treasured moments were family beach trips and Daniell family gatherings—especially the cherished Christmas singing tradition, where her piano accompaniment set a joyful and festive tone for over sixty years.
Above all, Charlene held her roles in life closest to her heart. She married her high school sweetheart, David Daniell, in 1960, and together they built a life rooted in love and devotion. In December 2025, they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Her role as “Mom” to Lyric, Tiffany, and Torre, and as “Grana” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, stands as her most beautiful and enduring legacy.
Charlene is survived by her husband, David Daniell; her brother, Philip Wells White; her daughters, Lyric Garten (Jay) and Tiffany Griffin (Chris); her son, Torre Daniell (Susie); her grandchildren, Cameron (Jamie), Kristin (Brett), Ian, Tricia (Jake), Spencer, and Lance; and her great-grandchildren, Grant, Griffin, and Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Josephine White; her sister, Glenda White; and her son-in-law, Alan Resmondo.
Charlene was a woman who loved deeply—music, friendship, and above all, God and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
