

Mrs. Austin was a loving and devoted woman who found great joy in caring for her family. Whether through her cooking, her kindness, or simply her presence, she made those around her feel deeply loved. She also enjoyed painting, a pastime that reflected her creativity and gentle spirit.
In addition to being a loving mother she also worked as a bank teller, where she was known for her friendliness and dedication. As a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Douglasville she found strength and community in her church throughout her life.
Mrs. Austin had a special fondness for her beloved Shih Tzu, Molly, and was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves. Above all, she cherished her family and the time spent with them. Her love will be remembered and carried on by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Melisa Austin Cunningham; son, Bart Austin and wife Jayla; son, Bret Austin and wife, Gina; grandchildren, James Huey Austin and wife, Michelle, Lindy Jenkins and husband, Jared, Carly Collins and husband, Tyler, Ivy Austin and Austin Rider, Kyndal Worley and her husband, Lee; great grandchildren, Bentley Rider, Austin Jenkins, Ace Austin, Dax Austin, Rowan Jenkins, Jeb Jenkins, Wylie Collins, Nova Rider, Cal Collins and Eli Rider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Austin and son, Todd Austin.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 12:00 pm in Rosehaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the graveside service at noon.
