

Mrs. Annie Lee Lewis was born on March 28,1939, in Montgomery, AL to the late Mr. Willie Johnson and late Mrs. Lillie Mae McCown. She later moved to Newark, NJ and married Mr. John Wardell Lewis, who preceded her in death in 1976. They settled in Plainfield, New Jersey and purchased family home. Annie was a loving mother, friend, and woman of God.
Annie was a woman of her faith and dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Pastor David Demola’s Faith Fellowship Church in Edison, NJ for over 30 years. Annie worked in the IT industry as a Computer Tester and Supervisor at Gulton Industries. She retired from Gulton Industries in 2001 at the age of 60, after 21 years of service.
Annie was a woman of prudence and wisdom. She loved and cared for everyone around her. She was kind, funny, and always had a word from The Lord for you. She loved to travel, going on cruises, and spending time with family. She especially loved spending time with her sisters-in-law, Molly and Linda. They were like girlfriends. In 2003, Annie sold her family home and moved to Douglasville, GA to be closer to her children.
Annie was preceded in death by her late husband John, parents Willie and Lillie Mae, and siblings Robert McCown Jr, Juanita Ausborn, Karen McCown, Michael McCown, James David Johnson.
Surviving loved ones are her 4 children, Curtis Jones of Snellville, GA, Marvin Jones of Wetumpka, AL, Patricia Lewis Esumei of Newnan, GA, and Kevin Lewis of Douglasville, GA. Her siblings Joann Smith of Montgomery, AL, Steve (Linda) McCown of Dallas, TX, Quincy McCown of Montgomery, AL, Willie McQueen, Evla Gregory, Lela Massey, Glen (Rosie) Webster, Eddie Webster, David (Amanda) Webster, Mary Ann (Tony) Pitts all of Montgomery, AL, Harrison Webster and Mary (Larry) Ford both of Lansing, MI, Clara Holloman of Lewes, DE and Louise Harriel of Buford, GA. 10 grandchildren Kewaski Jones, Kimberly Jones, Tamil (Rolin Jr.) Pettway, Parice Williams, Taurean Jackson, Pashae (William) Williams Abu, Kayshon Priester, Kevin Lewis Jr., Joshua Williams, Kiarrah Blalock. 10 great grandchildren Breneisha Jones, Kenya Harris, Winfred Harris Jr., Dash Locke, Kennedy Johnson, Josiah Lewis, Jeremiah Priester, Rolin Pettway III, Elijah Garland, Marlon Lewis. Annie also leaves behind a host of loving nieces and nephews, however was more like a mother to Gwendolyn Taylor, Jacqueline Ausborn, Rosiland Bradford and Dalzell Thompkins.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Arjae & Mighia Matthews officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Jones, Marvin Jones, Kevin Lewis, Curtis Jones, Marvin Jones, Kevin Lewis, Steve McCown, Derrick McCown, Stevie McCown, Errick McCown, Joshua Williams, Laquetin McCown, LaMorris McCown and Rolin Pettway Jr. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery.
