Benny was born in Colon, Cuba on November 2, 1941 the son of the late Cosme Llamazales and the late Concepcion Perera.
Benny came to this country in December of 1960 due to the Revolution in Cuba and resided with his Great Uncle Joe, in Tampa, Florida. He began working right away at a dairy farm milking cows as he had done on the family farm to save money to bring the rest of his family to America. His cousin Elisa was best friends with Ruth Kuhn who happened to be Nancy Morley’s Aunt. The two best friends played match-maker and brought Benny and Nancy together. The couple married on May 2, 1963 and began building a life together. In 1974, with five children, Benny and Nancy moved to Metro-Atlanta. They became members of the First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville and then started a business partnership in industrial painting and then in 1986 started Llamas Coatings, Inc. a successful business to this day with his son Benny D. at the helm. Benny whistled while he worked and was happy to do what was necessary no matter how difficult or challenging. He supported his children and grandchildren in whatever endeavor that they pursued with encouragement to finish their goal. He loved to cook authentic Cuban and Spanish cuisine, loved baseball, loved the beaches of the Gulf, especially the Emerald Coast. Benny always put Christ the Lord first and prayed for all he loved and many others.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, daughters and sons-in-law, Vaughn and Beth Llamazales, Teresa and David Gourley, Benigno D. and Stacy Llamazales, Leonel Llamazales, Lana and Michael Kuykendoll; grandchildren, Jerad Johanningmeier, Whitney Kuykendoll, Emily Llamazales, Gavin Gourley, Patrick Llamazales, Rand Llamazales, Dean Gourley, William Johanningmeier, III, Nicolas Llamazales, Grayson Llamazales and Lawson Roach; great grandson, Ellory Ryan Davis Kuykendoll, brother and sister-in-law, Cosme and Lourdes Llamazales, and sister, Teresa Llamazales, many nieces and nephews.
