Beverly Bennett Oglesby age 87, of Douglasville passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Mrs. Oglesby is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Thomas Oglesby; son, Mark Oglesby and his wife, Angela; daughter, Leslie Oglesby and her partner, Lyn; brother, William Bennet, as well as her Cairn Terrier, Peaches.
Mrs. Oglesby earned her Bachelors degree at LSU before working as a CPA for Postlethwaite & Netterville, an accounting firm in Westminster, Louisiana and eventually becoming self-employed. She moved to Georgia 16 years ago and was a member of the Gravy Train Investment Club for several years. She enjoyed listening to audio books by her favorite authors J.D. Robb and Stewart Woods on the Audible app on her phone. In accordance with her wishes her body was cremated and her urn will be placed at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.
