Bruce was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather whose steady presence and kindness shaped the lives of those who knew him best. A man of faith, Bruce loved God and sought to live with gratitude, humility, and compassion—values he carried into his family life, friendships, and work.
A lifelong learner with a remarkable mind, Bruce earned his PhD in Chemistry and built a distinguished career as an accomplished analytical chemist. Known for precision and integrity, he approached both science and life with careful thought, curiosity, and a desire to understand how things worked. Reflecting on his intellectual gifts and love of problem-solving, he was also a proud member of Mensa.
Outside of work, Bruce embraced the simple joys that made life rich. He loved golf, appreciated the traditions and pageantry of the Scottish games, and especially enjoyed the stirring sound of bagpipes. He could often be found working through crossword puzzles, savoring the challenge and the satisfaction of finding the perfect answer.
Bruce also cherished camaraderie and conversation. He loved breakfast with the guys, the kind of routine that became a treasured tradition filled with laughter and friendship. And for anyone lucky enough to spend time with him, Bruce had a signature gift: his Dad jokes—delivered with impeccable timing, a warm grin, and the unmistakable intention to make people smile.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Kristeen and Karissa Campbell; his sons, Byron and Bryson Campbell; his siblings, Mark Campbell and Candace Johnson; and his parents, Frank and Orvilla Campbell.
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Campbell; his son, Brandon Campbell, and daughters-in-law Chizu and Kim Campbell; and his grandchildren: William, Kait, Tyler, Connor, Jon, Ryan, Monet, and Faith. He is also survived by his sisters, Nedra Thomason and Mary Jones.
Bruce’s legacy is one of faith, family devotion, intellectual excellence, and gentle humor—a life well lived and deeply loved. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
