Mrs. Claudette Jean Whitehead, age 74, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. A native of Georgia, Mrs. Whitehead was born November 23, 1943 in Atlanta. She lived in Douglasville for 35 years. Mrs. Whitehead was a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with her family and helping raise her grandchild. She loved travelling, especially taking trips to the mountains in a Jeep. She enjoyed puzzles, both jigsaw and word puzzles, reading, and gardening in her vegetable garden.
Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Alice Lucille Hopkins Callahan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Eugene Whitehead; sons, William Whitehead of Franklin, Georgia and Scott Whitehead of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Tara Morrow of Bowdon, Georgia; brother, Wylie B. Callahan of Griffin, Georgia; sister, Elsie Simmons of Stone Mountain, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
