Demeris G Kirk

Mrs. Demeris G. Kirk, age 82, of Villa Rica, GA passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. She was born February 9, 1932 in Villa Rica, GA. As a wife of a U.S. Air Force Veteran, she lived in many interesting places including living in Spain. Mrs. Kirk loved to travel, entertain and was a great cook. She enjoy vegetable gardening, and was very active in her church. Her church memberships included Lithia Springs UMC, Concord UMC in Carrollton, and Faith UMC in Smyrna.

Mrs. Kirk was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Kirk; her parents, Henry and Ovie Leona Gray Gallman; son, Rick Kirk; brother, Burt Gallman; and brother-in-law, David Kirk.

She is survived by daughter, Patty Zuniga and husband Al; daughter-in-law, Brenda Kirk; brother, Curtis Gallman and wife Chris; sister, Ann Kirk; sister-in-law, Lavonne Gallman; grandchildren, Kirk Fraley and fiancé Claire, Megan Smith and husband James, Josh Kirk and wife Kayla, and Jacob Kirk and wife, Heather; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Gary Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
