Diane Gregory Mercer, age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was born September 30, 1943 in St. Claire, Alabama. Diane’s greatest love was spending time with her family. She loved her grandchildren, and especially her great-granddaughter, lovingly known as “Blondie”. Her career spanned many years working for law firms, where she was loved and admired by her coworkers. A strong woman of faith, Diane was actively involved in her church. She loved to socialize with her friends. In her spare time, Diane was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Regency Hospice, as well as Dr. Stuart Jay Simon, Dr. Gena Volas-Redd, and the staff at Piedmont Hospital for the excellent care and attention given to Diane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Humphrey and Florence (Croil) Gregory.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammy Gregory Hawks; two grandsons, Brandon Gregory and André (McKenna) Anderson; great-granddaughter, Madeline “Blondie” Anderson; and a host of family and friends.
