

Dorothy Robinson Harshman, age 95, died on March 25, 2016, in Douglasville, Georgia. She was born on January 25, 1921, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eva Rocky Robinson and Emory Ferris Robinson. She graduated from Sharon High School and Dyke College,
Cleveland, Ohio. She lived in Athens with her family for 53 years and belonged to several organizations, but was most active in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where she was a member for over 50 years and where she taught Sunday School and served on the altar guild, and as a volunteer at Athens Regional Medical Center, where she served for over 30 years in the Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Sam” Harshman, and her sister, Betty Robinson Baldwin. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Harshman Roller (Roger), and Linda Harshman Blake (Stuart). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Elizabeth Roller Kocan (Jay), Alison Roller Woerner (Michael), Keith Wilson Blake (Katherine), Alan Stuart Blake (Amber), and eleven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Friday, April 15, at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Robert Salamone officiating. Following the service, the family will receive guests in the common room of the church. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
