Mrs. Emily Christine Mize, age 80, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. She was born July 31, 1935. She enjoyed working and retired from W. R. Bean Printing. Mrs. Mize loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; doing crafts and gardening.
Mrs. Mize was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson B. Mize, Jr. and her parents, John Clint Wages and Nora Sue Knight McDonald.
She is survived by “Katie Mize”; her sons, Andy DeLong and Robby DeLong; daughters, Niki (Rory) Hay and Kathy (Eddie) Scott; brother John Thomas Wages; sister Virginia Inez Stone; grandchildren Kris Hall, Tonya Lindgren, Josh DeLong, Troy DeLong, Shannon Scott, Erin Scott; twelve great-grandchildren as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
