Eric Kofi Minta was born in Accra, Ghana on May 21, 1999 to Eric Kwesi Ampadu and Priscilla Oforiwaa Ofori. Eric and his twin sister, Erica Afua Minta, journeyed to America at the tender age of 6. They were greeted by their new family mom, Tamala; brother, George, and sisters, Monae and Brandi. His grandmother, Marie aka Soft Skin, as he affectionately called her had a special bond with him.
Eric had a very close relationship with his father whom he considered his best friend, and twin sister, whom Eric considered as his “little sister” and best friend.
Eric was raised in Douglasville, Georgia, where he graduated high school at New Manchester. At New Manchester, he was accepted into the Magnet program for the arts. After high school, he received his Associates Degree from Georgia Highlands all while working a full-time job at Fed Ex. He had a brilliant mind and a kindred spirit that everyone could attest to. Our Eric Kofi was a hard worker like his dad who was able to purchase his first home at the age of 22.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Eric Kwesi Ampadu; mother, Priscilla Ofori; sister, Erica Afua Minta; Grandparent, Aunts, Uncles, Family and Friends.
