Florence W Robinson

Mrs. Florence W. Robinson, age 93, of Douglasville, GA passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was born December 31, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA. Mrs. Robinson loved to watch the Braves and care for her flowers. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and had a beautiful crystal collection. She was a faithful church member at Bright Star Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was proud of her independence in her later years.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Robinson and her parents, James and Minnie Volz.

She is survived by her sons Dale and wife Debbie Robinson of Hampton, GA, Ron and wife Anne of Douglasville, GA, and Terry and wife Jo Robinson of North Augusta, SC; daughter Nancy Riggs of Sumter, SC; grandchildren Jason Robinson, Eric Robinson, Cynthia Smoak, Suzanne Sarkady, Andrew Robinson, Luther Barnett, Chad Robinson and Caitlyn Riggs; great-grandchildren Ashton Robinson, Noah Robinson, Laura Smoak, Jackson Smoak, Samantha Sarkady, Erzsebet Sarkady, Taylor Barnett, Zoey Barnett and Joshua Barnett as well as nieces, nephews and many other family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bright Star United Methodist Church, 3715 Bright Star Road, Douglasville, GA 30135.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Bright Star United Methodist Church at 10:30 am with Dr. Thom Shores officiating. Interment will follow in the Bright Star United Methodist Cemetery.
