Clifton “Irene” Eskew Waits, age 90, of Villa Rica, Georgia, earned her wings to Heaven on Saturday morning, February 13, 2021. She was born January 26, 1931 in Mableton, Georgia. Ms. Irene lived her live centered around her family. Working her entire life as a Domestic Engineer, her focus was her household and the care of her family. Her husband and her twin sons were the center of her life. Ms. Irene was the caregiver to a special needs son, whom she chose to raise and care for in her home until his passing at the age of 55. For her total love and devotion to Terry, she has earned her wings and gained a special place in Heaven. Ms. Irene was known as the “flower lady”, growing a variety of flowers, plants and bushes in her yard.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 49 years, Edward Waits; her son, Terry Waits; her parents, Hugh and Florence (McDonald) Eskew; her brothers, Paul Eskew, Harold Eskew and Edward Eskew; and a daughter-in-law, Dianne Waits.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Waits; a grandson, Chad Waits; a granddaughter Kelly Davis; five great-grandchildren, Nykolas Waits, Matthew Waits, Landon Waits, Brad (Macy) Earl and Benjamin Earl; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
