Mr. James Edward Partee, Jr., age 67, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born November 28, 1949 in Athens, Georgia. He achieved the rank of Eagle with the Boy Scouts of America and was recipient of the Good and Country Award. Mr. Partee presented Queen Elizabeth with a painting of her horses that he had painted for her Diamond Jubilee. He designed and painted the 1987 Georgia Duck stamp and was named Georgia’s Artist of Excellence by the Governor.
Mr. Partee was preceded in death by his parents, James and Olive Rich Partee, Sr.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Dale Partee; daughter, Lauren (Chad) Dempsey; sisters, Cecile English and Francine Hargrove; two granddaughters, Savannah Hernandez and Sophie Day; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Jim Law officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
