Ms. Janice Elizabeth Garner Ellis, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born in Douglasville, Georgia to the late Charles Marshall and Gladys Elizabeth Garner on January 8, 1953. She was a 1971 graduate of Douglas County High School. She was a God-fearing and loving lady. She was devout in her faith and taught Sunday school and was the choir director at church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family immensely. She was kind – always generous to strangers and to others in the community. Janice worked at G&K Services as a CSR and researcher for 30 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, April Ellis Traylor and Amy Crew; her brother, Charles “Mack” Garner and his wife, Janice; nephew, Chad Garner; 6 grandchildren: Lexi Traylor, Liz Traylor, Bailee Sesler, Jessica Sesler, Samantha Sesler, and Dakota Sesler; many cousins, other loved ones, and friends.
