Mrs. Josie Haynes Wallace, age 98, of Douglasville, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016. She was born February 12, 1918 in Villa Rica, GA. Mrs. Wallace retired as a seamstress after 32 years with Arrow Shirt Factory. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Amelia Norton Haynes; husband, Charlie Erman Wallace; son, Larry Wallace; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Carolyn Wallace; and son-in-law, Tom Tippett.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, James and Judy Wallace; daughter, Erma Tippett; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mrs. Wallace was held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Douglasville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Wallace’s memory.
