A longtime member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Douglasville, Linda later transferred her membership to Hunter's Chapel in Jasper, Alabama. She found joy in simple pleasures—shopping, spending time at the beach, and traveling. She especially loved cruises, once embarking on a 15-day journey with her beloved husband, Gordon. For the past 38 years, Panama City Beach was a special retreat where she made countless memories.
Linda had a deep love for animals, including her treasured Yorkie, Watson. Her career was equally fulfilling, having served as a store manager for Cluett-Peabody outlet store for 17 years before taking on an administrative role with Building Systems Design.
Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, remembering her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
In addition to her parents, Henry and Lottie Louise (Tucker) McGuff, she was preceded in death by her children, Jody Mullis and Cheryl Mullis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gordon Mullis; children, Kellie (Tony) Cioffi, Jimmy (Pam) Mullis and Mike (Jamie) Mullis; sister, Shirley Bagwell; grandchildren, Morganna Allen, Skyler Allen, Lynseay Mullis, Jesse Mullis, Kassidy Mullis, Jeremy Mullis, Ashley Mason, Terri Williams, and Colton Propper as well as several nieces and her Yorkie, Watson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 22 from 3:00pm to 4:00 pm at Whitley Garner Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service in the chapel at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
Whitley Garner is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements of Linda Lou Mullis.
