Linda Diana Shaw

Mrs. Shaw was a volunteer at Tallapoosa Primary School, Harvester Christian Academy and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She was active with the Woody Fite Senior Center and attended West Metro Church of God and Church at Chapel Hill. Mrs. Shaw loved to boat, tend her vegetable and flower garden and enjoyed camping and hiking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudon and Nellie Marie Byars; brothers, Charles, Cain, and Hudon, Jr. Byars; and sister, Barbara Ann Spratlin.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Shaw; daughter, Kimberly Shaw-Buckner; son, Brian Shaw (Alma); grandchildren, Bailey Buckner, Cody Shaw, Lucas Shaw; step-grandchildren, Geovanny Padilla, Daniel Padilla, Diego Padilla, David Padilla; brother, Dale Byars (Ann); sisters, Shelby Burkhalter (Rodney), Elizabeth Johnson, Juanita White (JW), Grace Owens (Johnny), Sue King (Tommy), Gail Walker (Doug); several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5-8 PM and on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10-11 AM. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Dale Byars, Reverend Harry Carter, and Dr. Grady Morris officiating. The family will meet at 2:00 PM at Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown, GA for interment.
