Martha L Woods

Martha attended Douglas County Schools grade 1-11 and graduated high school from Collegedale Academy in Collegedale, TN. She loved horseback riding, boating, water skiing, and traveling. Before retiring, Martha worked for Chrysler Corporation for 30 plus years. She was a member of the Sweetwater Garden Club and a charter member of the Douglasville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was also the church pianist/organist for many years. She was greatly loved by her family and will be sorely missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Curtis and Harmon Hall Pillgreen Woods; and her brother Hubert Woods.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Woods Buchanan; and her brother, Bob Woods and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Nancy Woods; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 2:30-3:30 PM with her funeral service following at 3:30 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Hal Peggau and Elder Tom Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Douglasville City Cemetery.
