Marty Edward Mahoney

Marty Edward Mahoney, age 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. He was born September 7, 1957 in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. Marty was a Veteran, having proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted husband, a loving son, father and grandfather. Marty owned and operated his own landscaping business, BlackRock Property Services. While his business consumed much of his time, in his spare time he was a Douglas County Master Gardner and an avid body builder. Fitness was of utmost importance to Marty, who not only could often be found working out at the gym, but was also very health conscious regarding what he ate—measuring everything he consumed. Marty will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAlice (Perkins) Mahoney; and a brother, Jeffrey Scott Mahoney.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 33 years, Judy T. Mahoney; his father, Dennis Paul Mahoney of Douglasville, Georgia; son, Sean Paul Mahoney (Natalie) of Hampton, Georgia; brother, Douglas Joe Mahoney (Janice) of Whitesburg, Georgia; grandchildren, Kaiden Mahoney and Kyleigh Mahoney; nieces, Kaitlin Mahoney and Shannon Lewis (Justin); and one great-niece, Laney Grace; as well as other extended family members and a host of friends.
