Miss Mary M. Cox, age 93, of Douglasville, GA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 12, 2016. A native of Franklin, Georgia, Miss Cox, was born on June 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Wade and Derah Daniels Wade. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons; James D. and Jerry Lewis Cox; granddaughter, Jennifer Cox Flanders and husband Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Flanders III and Jacob Flanders; as well as a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Homegoing celebration for Miss Cox will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the Rosehaven Chapel of Whitley - Garner Funeral Home with Rev. Kenon Hale and Pastor Willie Almond officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday eveing from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
