Opal's faith was unwavering. She loved the Lord, her church, and her church family. She was a devoted wife and Mother. Opal was a lifelong caregiver for her daughter, Stacie, and loved every minute of it. She was always happy to help anyone she could. Opal was proud of her many years (1974-1990) with Continental Insurance Company, from which she retired.
She is survived by her son Keith Head (Jennefer); her daughters Julie Bonds (Philip Shadix) and Diana Darnell (Troy).
Opal was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles R Harmon; her daughters Starry Ann Head and Stacie Head; her parents Will (Della Shead) Haney; her granddaughter Emily Bonds; and all of her siblings.
She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
A visitation for Opal will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. A chapel funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. A burial will follow the service at Sunrise Garden Of Memories, Douglasville, GA.
Services will be officiated by Pastors Billy Godwin and Terry Marbut.
