Sam had such a wonderful heart, which made he and Lynn a perfect couple. We never stopped smiling and laughing when we were around him. He had tales to tell had a talent for creating figures with acorns, I was honored to get one from him. He will be missed. Paul and Colette Engelholm.

Lynn and family,

There are no words that I can say or type here that will be of any comfort to you. I will attempt to, reminding you that you will see him again one day. Because you WILL see him again! But I am just purely heartbroken for you in the here and now. Hold your memories close, as they are everything. And please let's get together. I hope I can share through my experience something that will help you on this journey. And it's definitely a journey! All my warmest thoughts and prayers are with you. Love you, old friend.

Sammy filled my childhood with adventure. He was my protector. He taught me to shoot a BB gun, make a bow & arrow and how to appreciate natures’ creations & critters. I will miss our talks & our good night kisses. I will forever be grateful I was with you when you left this earth & I will forever hold dear our last two days together. My big bro- I love you.

I attended -- then Coosa Valley Tech in 1968 thru 1970 in the Heating and Air class with Sammy,
never a dull moment around him!! I have thought often about his wit over the years, and I wish we could have kept in touch.

So sorry for your loss

Sincerely

Lynn, my sister from another mister. You are in my prayers. Sam and I shared a few recipes and an occasional jar of almond butter. I know he will be missed but never forgotten. God makes no mistakes, he needed Sam. Rest in peace my brother.
