Steven P Simon

Mr. Steven Paul Simon, age 72, of Winston, GA passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born October 1, 1942 in Jackson, MI. Mr. Simon is a former Deputy Sheriff of Jackson County and Albion County as well as retired from Diebolt after 25 years. He was also a member of the Zoave Drill Team. Steve was a loving and devoted father, son, brother and grandfather. He was more than a husband. He was also my friend, lover and solace. Steve allowed me to follow my dreams in spite of his reservations and was always the “wind beneath my wings”. We were soulmates in this life, the past and in all the futures ahead.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julian A. and Martha Irene Simon; brother William Simon; father-in-law Howard W. Ivey, Sr and Marie Ivey Southwell; brother-in-law Donnie R. Ivey; nephew Jimmy Ivey; great-nephews Julian Rodriguez, Paul Hurting, Steve Ivey and life-long friend Bob Goings.

Mr. Simon is survived by his wife Donnita Simon; son Sean Simon; daughter AnnMarie and E. Octave Andre; sister Julia Ann and Arlan Feikert; brother-in-law Howard and Suse Ivey Jr. and Dewayne and Marilyn Ivey; two grandchildren, Bonscott Sewell and Nathan Sewell; great-grandson Balin Sewell; great-granddaughter Autumn Sewell; seven nephews; four nieces; 10 great-nephews and eleven great-nieces.
