Susan was born to John Dyar and the late Dorothy “Dot” Ward Dyar on September 8, 1962 in Marietta, Georgia. Susan was one of three children and had twin brothers, Bill and Bob. Growing up, she was happy, helping and strongminded. She took after her parents in that she never met a stranger – they always had a full house and some even became honorary members of the family.
In 1971, the Dyar family moved to Douglasville where their community ties continued to grow. Susan and Dot ran a beauty salon below the family home while John would work the register. Susan was also known to donate her talents to others going through hard times and considered it a blessing.
Susan had met and married the love of her life, James “Bo” Tucker, and later had a son, Brett. Her natural ability to help and care for others led to them following in her parents footsteps of adopting others into the family. Through this, Susan was able to enjoy being a Nana to her grandbaby, Braylee, whom she loved so dearly.
Susan was the best mom in the world and found joy in the simple things in life: a cool breeze, the shade from a Magnolia tree, collecting seashells and especially doing for others before herself. Her humble attitude and ability not to be shy made it so that you just couldn’t help but to love Susan. She was an account manager for Amware for 12 years and her work family adored her. Susan was dedicated, kind and not afraid to speak her mind. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her.
Susan is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy “Dot” Ward Dyar. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James “Bo” Harold Tucker Jr; son, Brett Tucker; daughter, Laura Ross; father, John Dyar; father in law and mother in law, James and Charlene Tucker; twin brothers, Bill Dyar and his wife Kelly and Bob Dyar and his wife Maria; brother, Rod Sisson; sister, Linda Ross; granddaughter, Braylee.
