

She was born August 4, 1959, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late Mr. Paul Fletcher Cosby and Mrs. Peggy Jo Cosby.
Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her loving heart and unwavering dedication to her family. A true homemaker, she always put the needs of others before her own, embodying a selfless spirit and a servant’s heart. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was a quiet evening at home or going out and adventuring together. She was a mother to many, offering guidance, love, and support to those in need, extending her nurturing care to all who were fortunate to know her.
For many years, Teresa was a member of Callie Harbin Baptist Church in Villa Rica, GA, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. After relocating to Tallapoosa, GA, with her husband, she transferred her membership to Steadman Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, GA due to health reasons. Her faith was integral to her life, and she found great comfort and strength in her church community.
In addition to her faith, Teresa loved her family and had a passion for the simple joys of life. She loved the beach and pool, as she enjoyed soaking up the sun. She found peace in nature’s beauty. Her warm, radiant smile could light up any room and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Her legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion to those around her will continue to inspire and comfort all who were blessed to be part of her life.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her twin grandsons, Alex and Aden Wilhoite.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Mr. Roger Wilhoite; mother, Peggy Jo Cosby; daughters Tabitha (Chris) Altschuler and Trista (Will) Murray; brothers Andy, Jerry, and Gary Cosby and grandchildren, Ryan and Mason Smith, Dallas Altschuler, and Addie and Mackenzie Murray.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 4:30 PM from the Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Chapel, with Pastor Randy Robinson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery, where Pastor Corey Gordon will officiate.
