Born August 18, 1923 in DuBois, she was the daughter of Andrew and Thelma (Caldwell) Jacobs.
Mrs Kuntz had worked for the Unemployment Office in DuBois, also the First Baptist Church in DuBois and Brandenton, FL as church secretary and Evangelical Teachers Training in Wheaton, Illinois.
She graduated from the Buffalo Bible Institute.
Mrs. Kuntz was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, needlework, church
activities and the Rockton Lunch Bunch.
She is survived by a daughter; Sandra Jay Nicholls and her husband Peter,of Bradenton, FL, two grandchildren; Catherine Nicholls Grech and Dr. Peter Jeffrey Nicholls, and two great grandchildren; Daniel and Christopher Grech. She is also survived by a brother; Duane Jacobs and his wife Kati of Rockton, four sisters; Doris Hovey Elrod and her husband Jack of Williamsburg, VA, Derma Sherry-Hunt of Charolette NC, Demaris Williams and her husband Gordon of Sun City West, AZ and Dornell Finger of Rockton.
Mrs. Kuntz was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Staff Sgt. Jay Kuntz, U.S. Army, whom she married in 1942 in Rockton and who was killed in action, and a brother Dee Andrew Jacobs.
At the request of Mrs. Kuntz there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on
Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Montgomery officiating. Interment will be in Rockton Cemetery.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, DuBois, 197 Eastern Ave.
DuBois, PA 15801.
