Florence M Palmer

Born on May 9, 1918 in DuBois the daughter of the late Ira and Rose(Calvert) Marshall.

Florence was a graduate of DuBois Area High School in 1936 and Pennsylvania State University in 1975. She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Nursing Division

.

She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Berean Bible Class and United Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed oil painting and the outdoors.

Florence is survived by a son Dennis(Susan) Palmer of Lawrence, Kansas and a daughter Karen(Charles) Pekarski of Falls Creek, PA. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Palmer who passed away December 10, 2001 and her sister Dorothy Marshall.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel in DuBois.

Friends will be received from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 9am until the time of service on Wednesday
