Born March 26, 1927 in DuBois, he was the son of the late George Frederick and Grace (Kriner) Krach.
Mr. Krach was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Luthersburg. He was a graduate of the Brady Twp. High School. Frank was a WW II veteran of the US Navy and a member of the US Army Reserves retiring from the 629th on March 26, 1987. Mr. Krach was a former Master of the Brady Grange and Salem Grange. He was a former leader of the Salem 4-H and a volunteer for the Luthersburg Community Center. Mr. Krach was a member of the DuBois VFW and the cemetery board of Union Cemetery. Frank enjoyed raising strawberries, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving is a son: LaRue A. Krach and his wife Marilyn, Luthersburg; four grandchildren: Michael Krach, Gregory Krach and his wife Shannon, Kenneth Krach and his wife Mandi, Matthew Krach and his wife Amelia; also three great grandchildren: Alexander, Braeden and Brody Krach; also a brother: Robert Krach, Soldier, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers: Glen and Charles Krach; infant granddaughter: Tracey Krach.
A service to celebrate the life of Frank Albert Krach will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., 142 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 with Rev. John White officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Friday from 10–11 AM the time of service at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by the Dubois Honor Guard following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Luthersburg.
