Freda Marie Hutchins

She was born on April 9, 1941 in Arcadia, PA, the daughter of the late William E. and Viola (Wassam) Shephard. On November 1, 1957, she married James C. Hutchins, who passed away on January 22, 2013, they were married for 55 years.

Marie worked at Rola Jenson in DuBois, the DuBois Nursing Home and DRMC in the dietary. She enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, bingo, and reading Christian books. She also enjoyed camping with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children: William and his wife Darlene of Reynoldsville, Viola and her husband Richard Schaffer of DuBois, Doris Hutchins Reynoldsville, John and his wife Amy of Russell City, PA, Timothy and his wife Lorraine of Sabula, and Kenneth and his wife Jennifer of DuBois; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; she is also survived by a sister, Edith Neuhard of Falls Creek and two brothers: Elmer Shepard of DuBois and Earl Shepard of Freeland, PA.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Hutchins Jr., and three sisters: Annabell Rinehart, Betty Kromer and Martha Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., with Rev. Timothy Connor officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday, August 9, at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., an additional hour of viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of service.
